The Ceramide Rich Golden Oil

The Ceramide Rich Golden Oil

Did you know jojoba oil is actually a wax but because of their high content of unsaturated fatty acids it stays liquid at room temperature? This makes jojoba an excellent emollient that deeply moisturize and protects the outer layer of our skin, the epidermis. A strong skin barrier prevents irritations and harmful germs and toxins from entering the skin.

Ceramides are waxy molecules that help protect the skin from environmental aggressors such as pollution and allergens, and jojoba oil contains up to 96% ceramides. They form an oily layer that sits on the top of the skin and traps water in the epidermis.

This golden oil chemically mirrors the properties of our natural sebum which is why its so bio-compatible for all skins. Our sebaceous glands naturally produce sebum. Producing too much may lead to skin breakouts and too little can cause dry itchy skin. Adding jojoba to your daily moisturizing routine will help you keep your oil production in balance.

It's high content vitamin E and iodine will help fight harmful bacteria growth and speed up healing of wounds. Studies show that Jojoba Oil not only accelerates wound closures but also speeds up collagen synthesis.

Also, rich in vitamin B complex it has a high content of free radical-fighting antioxidants that help prevent permanent skin damage.

Jojoba oil is so good that we like to incorporate this ingredient as a base on many of our formulas. We use certified organic and cold pressed jojoba oil in our Healing Salve, Face Elixir, Mango Tamanu Balm, Hair Love, and Grounding Body Oil.
